Concrete Wear was a theoretical social fashion and branding project that utilised upcycled salvaged residential construction materials to create functional technical apparel that could be distributed as emergency clothing to victims of natural disasters. Thus, material upcycling & humanitarian needs were addressed simultaneously.
My role was to identify oft-wasted materials on job sites with fire-retardant, insulative or water-resistant properties that would cater to emergency needs, then create tech-packs, assembly instructions and prototypes for testing.
